Colorful Smoothies Have Never Looked this Beautiful
For artists, design flows into every aspect of daily life. The morning smoothie is no exception. That’s the beauty behind Swedish-born art director Hedvig Astrom Kushner’s “Pantone Smoothies” series, for which she pairs her healthy smoothies with their corresponding Pantone color codes.
Astrom Kusher tells Mashable that her Swedish background inspired her love for the simple aesthetics and bold pops of color seen in her photographs.
She’s been lucky enough to take advantage of the space and supplies her design firm has to offer, often coming in on weekends to shoot her series in a light box.
“As a creative you have ideas all the time, and sometimes it’s just really fun to execute them and see them come to life,” she said. “When you do it yourself you also have full creative control over the outcome, which is amazing.”
Beyond pleasing aesthetics, “Pantone Smoothies” serves up the actual recipes for the smoothies seen below like a good food blog should.
