When you gotta go, you first gotta run a 13.1 mile race, stop to sniff a dead rabbit, finish in 1:32.56, be given a medal and then you go. Ludivine, a 2-and-a-half year old hound named after a character from A Good Year, was let out by her owner April Hamlin to go to the bathroom, but instead took the opportunity to competitively run in the Elkmont’s Trackless Train Trek Half Marathon.

“All I did was open the door, and she ran the race on her own accord,” Hamlin, 43, told Runner’s World, saying she received texts with photos of Ludivine from friends who were volunteering at the finish. “My first reaction was that I was embarrassed and worried that she had possibly gotten in the way of the other runners…She’s laid back and friendly, so I can’t believe she ran the whole half marathon because she’s actually really lazy.”

Unfortunately, the race results omitted Ludivine, posting instead the time of her guider Jon Elmore, who completed the race at the exact same time.

We thought it’d be a shame not to make things official, so here you go Ludivine.
