First Look at Apple’s New 4-inch iPhone?

All signs point to Apple releasing a new 4-inch iPhone to replace the aging iPhone 5S. What will it look like? If a newly leaked image that’s popped up online is authentic, it could look just like an iPhone 6S, but smaller, obviously.

One More Thing user Gijs Raggers posted an photo of what he claims is the unreleased 4-inch iPhone next to an iPhone 5. While you should be skeptical of any low-res images claiming to show unreleased Apple devices, Raggers has accurately leaked Apple products before, like the iPad Air in 2013.

The purported 4-inch iPhone (which is rumored to be called the iPhone 5SE or possibly the iPhone 6C) fits the descriptions that have been churning out of the rumor mill.

As you can see in the leaked photo above, the so-called iPhone 5SE (right) sports an iPhone 6/6S metal design. The power button has moved to the right side from the top and the round volume up/down buttons are pill-shaped to mirror the latest iPhones. We can also see the glass is curved at the edges (just like on the iPhone 6/6S) and the antenna band is thicker, too.

Rumors suggest the smaller iPhone will come with the same display size and resolution as the iPhone 5S. It’ll have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor for Apple Pay and the iPhone 6’s A8 processor and M8 motion coprocessor. The cameras will also reportedly be the same 8-megapixel iSight (back) and 1.2-megapixel FaceTime (front) as on the iPhone 6; Live Photos will also be supported, despite the screen not supporting 3D Touch.

Apple is rumored to be holding an event in March to announce the smaller iPhone, which could share stage time with a new iPad Air 3.
