Spoiler Alert: ‘Colony’ producer breaks down tense episode 4 face off

Warning: This post contains spoilers about the latest episode of Colony

The latest episode of USA Network’s Colony was, no doubt, it’s biggest yet.

Sure, the show, which on Thursday was officially renewed for Season 2, might only be four episodes in, but even so, “Blind Spot” changed the game with the show’s first major death (RIP Phyllis) and so much more.

“‘Blind Spot’ is a big episode,” says executive producer and show co-creator Ryan Condal. “We see this as the end of the first act of our season. A lot of assumptions about the story, loyalties, and the dynamic of the Will and Katie relationship get up-ended. After the events of the last 5 minutes of the story, no one will be comfortable in their preconceptions about the world of Colony.”

Before Phyllis’ death, though, actress Kathy Baker (who Condal says will “be sorely missed, though maybe not by Katie”) shared a tense scene with Sarah Wayne Callies that Condal breaks down below.

The scene happens in Phyllis’ office as the two proceed to play a verbal chess match.
