Take Photos with Peanuts Characters with U.S. Postal Service App in Augmented Reality
As the holiday season is ramping up, the annual resurgence of Peanuts characters’ nostalgia is once again upon us — this time delivered through augmented reality courtesy of the U.S. Post Office.
Using the USPS app, users have the ability to take a photo of themselves next to characters like Charlie Brown and Snoopy at real world locations.

In order to take an AR photo, you need to find one of the postal service’s 160,000 blue mail collection boxes and fire up the USPS AR app on your smartphone or camera-enabled tablet.
The USPS first showed off its ability to promote its services using AR last year with impressive animations and graphics delivered through the first iteration of the app (see video below).
The USPS AR app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
