The LG G4 Will Boast Android’s 6.0 Marshmallow OS Next Week

The latest version of Android — 6.0 or Marshmallow — has been out for a few weeks now, but most Android users were unable to install it, since it was only available for Nexus devices.

This changes next week, when LG will start rolling out Android 6.0 to LG G4 devices. The list of improvements include simplified permissions control; Do Not Disturb mode, which blocks all sounds or only alarms and notifications; and Doze mode, which increases battery life by shutting down the background processes of certain apps when the phone is not in use.

The rollout will start in Poland, followed by other markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

LG did not announced exact dates of availability yet, but the upgrade schedule and the list of eligible models will be announced for each market individually.
